A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Chile and Death Metal are becoming a regular here at VM-Underound for quite a bit now. Morbid Cruelty was created by 2 members who can say Atomic Aggressor and Perversor are on their résumés, and are producing some fine slab of Old School Death Metal.

Old School? Maybe more a thrashy ancient kind, everything with ‘early’ to emphasise the rotten dark core of it all. Merciless, Morbid Angel, Sepultura…all in the ”early” category of course, with a bit of chaos and howling guitars. A Chilean rendition of Therion’s ‘Time Shall Tell’ here and there, to give you an idea of it all. They have also covered Mike Browning’s Incubus with ‘God Died on his Knees’, to reiterate my blabbing above.

I don’t think it will blow a lot of socks out of shoes, but it is definitely a good time listening.
