A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Not the first time we reviewed the progressive Black Metal act Misanthropic Rage from Poland, but this time we go back to their first release, the EP “Qualia” which was self-released by the band back in 2016.

Call it progressive, call it avant-garde, you’re getting a trip through pace changes (from fast to sinister atmosphere with leads only), strange clinical drum-(computer?)-patterns, a bit of dissonance, clean vocal passages, twists and what not. Everything combined this not an easy step-in if you are a second wave Black Metal enthusiast, but feel free to try the track title which has a duration of 17 minutes and beholds everything I just mentioned. With the 2nd track “Katharsis” it has hints of a more progressive yet less bombastic Limbonic Art approach. To top it off, they have also covered Satyricon’s “K.I.N.G.”.

For the adventurous among us only, but I think that advise will cover for all their releases. (Ricardo)
