Hailing from the United Kingdom, here we have Eihort, a band which I must admit I liked very much. Of course they did not invent the wheel, but they sure did a damn fine job on ‘Consuming the Light’. Released via Underground Kvlt Records and Audio Miasma in 2022, we have a very strong and promising record to enjoy!
It is full of inspired tremolo-picking, blended with strong, established melodies, very well-built bass lines and well-executed drums. The vocals are also done in a very distinct way, which allows you to listen to the entire release more easily and fluently. If you enjoy bands such as Dissection, Satyricon or perhaps Horna, then this is just destined for you!
Have a listen and mark my words: no regrets after that! Solid Black Metal. Last but not least, we also have a fine cover of Samael’s ‘Blood Ritual’, which takes us back to the past.
