Apparently, Sznur means ‘Rope’, in Polish, which immediately solves the mystery of the rope in their logo. Moving on to the music… Black Metal. And with ‘Dom człowieka’ this Polish horde delivered their third album, and their debut under the Godz ov War Productions banner.
And that’s really the heart of it. From the dragging ‘Popłód’, to the more explosive ‘Czuję zapach Twojej cipy’, it all feels familiar and well-executed. It occasionally brings to mind ideas from Darkthrone’s ‘Ravishing Grimness’, or the build-up riff of Darkestrah’s ‘Epos’, during ‘Popłód’, though it never mimics those two bands or albums directly.
Overall, a very solid release.
