The Peruvian deathsquad Putrid have been active since 2011 and have ever since blended old school Black/Death/Thrash Metal with a variety of South American proto Metal bands such as Sarcofago, Vulcano, Sepultura, you name it, which wielded a steady stream of releases.
It lead to a deal with Godz Ov War Productions and the release of ‘Antichrist Above’ full length in 2020, which was truly a visceral experience of über brutality and now they’re back with their newest opus entitled ‘All That We Hate’. Musically things haven’t changed much: hatred and bile are still dripping from the satanic songs, the music is a chaotic crossbreed of noisy Blackened Death/Thrash with the complimentary South American influences mentioned earlier and even a punkish “Fuck You” attitude. The band drills themselves like a pneumatic hammer through 11 tracks (including a Nirvana & G3 cover) and leaves nothing standing in their wake.
It’s an album which is not for the weak and mild and despite all the chaos it is pretty streamlined through all channels. Fans of extreme and loud South American Metal not unlike Anal Vomit or Death Yell need to get their fix at Godz Ov War Productions.
