Info

‘Apocalyptic Fire’ is a reckless detonation of Black/Thrash Metal violence, channeling the genre in its most feral and unhinged form. Helvetestromb don’t aim for polish or modern extremity: this album exists to ignite chaos, fuelled by speed, venom, and a total disregard for restraint. From the opening strike, it’s clear this is war music rooted in old blood and scorched earth ideology.

The riffs are sharp and incendiary, tearing through each track with punk-infested urgency and thrash-driven momentum. There’s a raw simplicity at work here, but it’s deliberate: hooks are forged through repetition and velocity rather than complexity. Every riff feels like it’s on the brink of collapse, yet never loses its murderous intent. This is Black Metal possessed by Thrash Metal’s rabid energy.

Drumming is relentless and savage, favouring speed and reckless propulsion over technical flourish. The constant forward charge gives the album a live-wire feel, as if the songs could derail at any moment but never do. Vocals are spat with bile and fury; hoarse, hateful, and drenched in apocalyptic conviction; perfectly suited to the album’s scorched themes.

Production remains raw and abrasive, enhancing the album’s hostile character. Nothing is softened, nothing is cleaned up. The sound crackles like burning debris, reinforcing the sense that ‘Apocalyptic Fire’ is meant to be felt as much as heard. Atmosphere is not built through subtlety but through sheer violence and urgency.

Helvetestromb embrace the lawless spirit of Black/Thrash Metal; where speed replaces atmosphere, and aggression replaces elegance. ‘Apocalyptic Fire’ is a torch hurled into the ruins, a celebration of destruction through pure pure violence and urgency.
