War Metal, Bestial Black Metal, Black Death Metal whatever you want to call it, if you even want to call it an official genre, is undoubtedly a one trick pony whether you like the music or not. Yet if you are a fan, like me, it is the gift that keeps on giving. Therefore, if you are also a fan there is no reason you should not at-least get some enjoyment out of the latest Deidad album released by Master of Kaos Productions.
This self-titled album contains 11 tracks worth of ass pounding Metal made for the maniacs who want the aggression of this intense style of music but also want to slow it down a bit. This has obviously been seen before with the sludgier parts of Archgoat songs but when it comes to Deidad they channel that feeling even more so throughout this record. So much so that the most brutal song, when it comes to playing fast, would have to be a cover of a Goat Penis song, ‘Cuando Se Derrama la Sangre’. Yet I don’t think the lack of pace makes this record any less of a listen, to be perfectly honest it’s probably a nice change from the blast beats that we know and love in most other releases with this similar sound.
If you dig bands like Nuclear Desecration, Proclamation and Bestial Warlust then there’s no reason why you won’t like this record. With a raw, pounding and evil sound, Deidad will deliver what all War Metal bands deliver, which is pure unholy death!
