A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Not that common that I receive an album link from a band based in Bangladesh, so I was little curious about what I’ve received. It’s their first EP and the band’s name is Surtur. Three tracks are on the disc, the intro not included. Thrash metal with an attitude is how I describe their music and it sounds very angry. The riffs are pointy and sharp, the vocals are very great and the drums are from a very high level, so yes, there’s lots of potential in this band. The only downfall on this EP for me is the bass, cause it’s not that audible in the production as it should be. Overall seen, this band puts thrash metal on the maps over there in South-Asia and I’m sure they could manage to break lots of legs down here! Nice introduction, and they’re ready for the next step…bring it on tigers! (Fredde)
