Released August 7, 2022, ‘Zabbeth’ contains a sound and feeling that needs no introduction to Black Metal maniacs. One look at the cover art and one is instantly aware of what is at stake.
‘Zabbeth’ is true ‘Bathory’ worship of the highest order. If you listen to the two releases side by side, you will find that the music is almost exactly the same as its 1984 counterpart, with minor differences. Is ‘Zabbeth’ covering ‘Bathory’ or paying deep, almost zealous homage?
That is for you to decide, for me, I accept that both releases are killer and must be consumed! (Mazchna)
