Grafvitnir – Venenum Scorpionis

grafvitnir – venenum scorpionis

Although not reviewed, I have enjoyed the previous release of Grafvitnir, “Keys to the Mysteries Beyond” a lot. And if I tell you this album is a mix of fast paced riff-driven mid 1990s Dissection, Naglfar (“Diabolical”) and Setherial (“Nord” and “Lords of the Nightrealm”), you can bet your ass I’ve spinned this one a lot as well.

Lots of dark and catchy melodies along with the suiting raspy vocals are creating a cosmic maelstrom that is both powerful and beautiful. Melodic yet fierce Black Metal with the right spirit of the 1990s, not a must-hear album but a must-witness album! (Ricardo)
