A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

For those who are a bit interested in history, will know that the chance that someone from the USA has European ancestors, is quite a safe bet. The creator behind Vredensdal, the one with the alias Vredensdal, has found out he has Scandinavian roots, Norway to be precise. A be as it may, you can’t deny the influence of the Norwegian scene when it comes to Black Metal, can’t you?

On the “Gather, All Ye Hellions” demo you will hear 3 tracks in the Nordic Second Wave Black Metal vein but with variation in song writing. For example the first track “Ved Midnatt…” has a slight Pagan/Folklore beginning while the title track has some dreary mid-tempo parts, so you will hear hints of Ensalved, Kampfar, Tsjuder and mid-tempo Marduk to give the fragments a label which are flying by. Definitely hear potential in Vredensdal, but it is not in full growth on this demo yet. Not a bad demo at all, but I have heard better lately. (Ricardo)
