A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

The human mind may yearn to indulge and heed the whisper of anger’s tongue, but the obscene light obscures such dialogue where speech is rendered mute. However, through honest art, such speech is developed and undertakes a new form of life, one where every vulgar fascination is satisfied, where the cravings of hate are satiated. It is through the stoking of the inner flame where such art is bestowed flesh and animation.

‘A Horrifying Conflagration of Luciferian Supremacy’ by Stormdemon becomes the sulfuric scent from the pyres of of Black and Death Metal which defiles the senses, contorting the light to the sway of its abysmal current. Resonating in similar spell to that of Angelcorpse and Black Fucking Cancer, Stormdemon constructs a monument of equal hate as those that came before…

Pure virulent vehemence becomes the soil upon which the musical elements anchors its body unto…The cacophony churned from the strings and percussions each feel as though they speak a different tongue, each reverberating in its own dialect yet, their frenetic speech converges into a sermon drenched in bile. The motion of the riffing structure undergoes a haphazard and convulsive pattern to its tone, baptized in the semi-raw production which reveals a natural layer that allows the senses to touch the very dissonance crafted. ‘The Immolatrix Crown’ is a track which demonstrates this feral side of the atmosphere, where the drums introduce a militant-structured tone, injecting a layer of precision to the schizophrenic nature of the guitars.

The elements of Black and Death Metal are utilized to craft an honest vessel wherein each note feels like ammunition to dismantle and desecrate the verses which be pious in its psalms. ‘Ritual Blades In The Temple of Rot’ showcases this atmospheric side of the album through the vortex of the melodies and vocals that accentuates the gravitas of the dissonant layering. It is like the heavy hand that pens a letter, whereby the heart and quill are one, where the words that sink into the parchment become heavy and bleeds, so too does the essence of this album in its exhalation.

Stormdemon unleashes the lake of fire from the soul that wishes to be contained, instead allowing its flames to lick and feast upon the consciousness, dissolving sanity through its melodies of malignance.
