A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

The first full-length ‘The Other Side of Reality’ was released back in 1994, which immediately lead to the demise of Scaffold of Serbia. The resurrection took place in 2008, but the second album saw the light of day in 2021.

‘Codex Gigas’ is one of those albums that is well played, but doesn’t get the attention because of the many releases they have to fight with. Yet, if you like to check out an album that is influenced by Death’s ‘Spiritual Healing’, ‘Human’ and ‘Individual Thought Patterns’ with hints of Pestilence here and there, ‘Codex Gigas’ could do the trick. And as a bonus you will get a Bloodbath cover track called ‘Psychopathic Mind’. And before you grab your ’ Resurrection Through Carnage’ or ‘Nightmares Made Flesh’ albums to verify the tracklist, we’re talkin’ about the Bloodbath from Serbia here.

It is a fine album with some nice Old School Death Metal riffs, good vocals, fine leads and occasional keyboard backgrounds to enhance the atmosphere. It deserves a spin.
