Amidst the sempiternal avalanche of awesome releases end 2024 finally came Onslaught Kommand’s debut full length.
Their ‘Visions of Blood and Gore’ EP (2024) got a rave review on our pages and as hoped – the debut continues on beaten paths. Immaculate bestial Black/Death Metal the likes of Beherit, Proclamation and Prehistoric War Cult fused with classic Slaughter, Repulsion and Hellhammer antics creates a sonic barrage of infernal smouldering mayhem.
Blast beatings, brutal stomping in the groin, feral vociferations. It’s dark, it’s raw and barbaric and it’s downright filthy. The ungodly South American sound paired with the excess of the genre and the aesthetics of this band is as usual present.
I could throw of shitload of even more superlatives to ‘Malignancy’. Fact is that this album stands for unbridled barbarism, totally primitive in its ways, and utterly flawless (sic) in execution.
Buy or die, Trendies!!
