A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

This mixture of Death/Thrash and black metal is straight to the face… opening track ‘Doomed by the Vision’ starts of smoothly, but then all clocks go off. Speed, aggression, fast drum work, a rotten voice trapped in some kind of raw production. Blackened Thrash/Death that’s balanced on all levels with some Deicide reference, but above all the combination of brutal Thrash and Death Metal used by old Morbid Angel. The sacrificial lyrics are perfectly seasoned with razor-sharp riffs which cut through iron, insane blast beats and the vocal chords sound godless, in the proper way. Yes, you could say the blend of music they offer is almost perfect and perhaps you could state that the Chilean ‘Altars of Madness’ is discovered. A band to indicate in bold, I’m eager to see what’s next on their sleeves. Espectacular!
