Italy’s own Hierophant started out their journey as a band back in 2019 as more of a Melodic Black/Death Metal or moreover a Metalcore band. But they have grown, progressed and left that in the past over the years and have morphed themselves into a straight up Black/Death Metal band by the time this album, ‘Death Siege’, came around. Which just so happened to be on August the 26th of 2022, so yes we are a little behind on this one but we are here now. So let’s go.
‘Death Siege’ is a buzzsawing, mind warping, chaotic ripper of a banger. The best way possible that I can describe what I think of what Hierophant sounds like is mix of two quite different bands. And those two bands just so happen to be Morbid Angel and Teitanblood, both of which they also tag on their Bandcamp page. So yes, I agree with them and the that product that they produce with that knowledge is quiet excellent. ‘Death Siege’ is truly a banger, check it out.
