The French blokes of Gravenoire are presenting their first showcase with ‘Devant La Porte Des Étoiles’, but they aren’t rookies for one bit. With acts like Diablation, Anorexia Nervosa, Seth and Bá’a as experience in the bag, you can say these guys know their way around the French scene.
With Gravenoire they tried and may I say, succeed, to go back to the filterless and golden years of the 90s. With RMS Hreidmarr and Vicomte Vampyr Arkames spitting their French displeasure at you, you will hear an EP that has been recorded without modern tools. This all results in pure 90s Black Metal that is both melodic and melancholic with a pinch of French folklore weaved in it.
Quite a well-made entrance by Gravenoire.
