Info

Feral, one of Sweden’s top Death Metal Hell Hounds, have chain-sawed out a new rotten slab of meat titled ‘To Usurp the Thrones’ and have thrown it right in your face for full impact.

Immediately and wasting no time, a chunky buzz saw lets loose with devastating and heavy riffing taking the reins. Then a moment of unknowing eeriness prevails for a short drift in time near the beginning of the song ‘To Drain the World of Light.’ A certain feeling of lament lingers on momentarily until an impact of total destruction bashes all away, crushing everything into oblivion like a ruinous force. As bursts of speed will show themselves from time to time during this album ‘To Usurp The Thrones,’ you will also get a predominant combination of bulky rhythms and obscure leads which pull you further into the fiery depths of death laden madness.

It does seem clear that this time around that the objective here is definitively a very heavy one that contains a chunky and catchy presentation of both prime and classic Old School Death Metal. Grooving hooks also play a part within all this which further complement and add to the overall quality of arrangements of the song writing structure. All together and enforcing a head banging rage, you are convulsively thrown into the foul realms of Heavy Death Metal hell without a doubt.

In utter awe, I am consumed and over taken, yet retaining a demented grin as my ears buzz and my brain rattles, it feels like coming home.
