A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

With “Teufel” Erupted Evil returned to the battlefield after releasing their debut album “Ghoul” in 2019.

The doomy and ghoulish Death Metal of these Polish butchers are accompanied by some Death/Black outbursts which gives this EP that bit of variation that will attract the audience. For example the tracks “Skin to Skin” and “Cursed (Dead) Life” aren’t quite similar when it comes to speed, the savagery is the same though. The 4-track EP has the fitting ending with the Mortican “Zombie Apocalypse” cover, which gives you an idea of the obscure horror that is going on “Teufel”. The use of the organ in the opening track as well as the haunting piano keys during “Skin to Skin” gives it a haunting atmosphere.

A solid appetizer for a forthcoming album, nothing really special but enjoyable for sure. (Ricardo)
