A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Procreation from The Netherlands was founded as a “just for the fun”-project in 2011. But at one point the blokes decided to take it up a notch and started writing their own material. The result is this debut album called “Ghostwood”, which is mainly Death Metal but also have elements of Black Metal (fast riffs, title-track) and Thrash Metal. The vocals of Mark are like Peter of Vader tries to do an imitation of Jan-Chris de Koeyer of Gorefest on their “Soul Survivor” album. The Vader influences go even further as the riffs have a Vader vibe going on, as well as Benediction. A decent debut with some nice leads, but I do miss the final punch in the face. Maybe the new album will take care of that. (Ricardo)
