A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Get the shrooms ready, because Yaldabaoth are leading the procession through the rabbit hole this time. This band from Alaska are some serious shit, sonic and literary wise. Sound wise, they leave all traces of orthodox Rock and Metal music behind, no Blues here, no NWOBHM at all.

Just an organic maze of riffs and drum patterns that will change your headbanging style every thirty seconds, which, despite being in Black Metal fashion (like Ved Buens Ende), it’s difficult no to be reminded of projects like Converge or Bosse-de-Nage. Poetry wise, these Alaskans are much more than just mockery of Christian values, they stink a little of medieval practices, spiritual and chemical, it gets hideous at times with detailed procedures of how to reach spiritual and physical ecstasy. Palms sweat! (Diego E.)
