This album is a deep, dark and melancholic journey into the shadows. From the very first notes, it creates a hypnotic atmosphere that slowly pulls you in and refuses to let go. The combination of clean vocals and powerful, deep growls works incredibly well, giving the music both a haunting beauty and a crushing darkness.
Musically, this is perfectly put together. The songs flow naturally, with every riff, melody and atmospheric passage finding its place. There is something here that reminds me of bands like Swallow The Sun and My Dying Bride, especially in the way the music balances sorrow, darkness and melody without ever losing its heavy character.
The horror vibe throughout the album is creepy as hell. This Doom, Death and Gothic Metal combination creates something truly dark and eerie, with an almost cinematic atmosphere. The hypnotic parts make you disappear into the music, while the heavier moments drag you back into the darkness.
I can easily imagine myself sitting on a bench somewhere deep in the woods, headphones on, completely absorbed by this album.
Some albums are made to be played in the background. This one isn’t.
Deep. Dark. Melancholic. Hypnotic.
An exceptionally atmospheric and immersive Doom Metal experience.
