A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Formed in 2008, Sweden’s Warfect have already three albums under their belts and “Scavengers” is the last one of them. Kristian Martinsson (x-Bestial Mockery) on bass/vocals, Fredrik Wester (x-Lord Belial) on guitars/vocals and Manne Flood on drums attack your ears with eleven tracks of relentless thrash/black metal. There are fast, neck-breaking sonic attacks like “Purveyors of Cadavers”, “Suffocate the Chosen” and “Predators” – a track where the Sodom influence is obvious. On the other hand there are tracks like “Evil Inn” and “Into the Crypt” that are slower and built around impressive guitar riffs. The sound production is on a very good level and the cover artwork is done by Andrei Bouzikov who has worked with Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust. “Scavengers” is an album that should be heard by every thrash maniac – Warfect have managed to create more than fifty minutes of thrashin’ mad fun.
