A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Danish Death Metal has flourished quite since a decade or so, with Taphos as one of the most interesting one in my humble opinion. Sure, they don’t get the attention like Undergang, Phrenelith or Deiquisitor but Taphos doesn’t release as much and prefers moving in the dark sort of speak.

Still, those who enjoy Taphos are speaking highly of them and count me as one of those. On this compilation you will find the ‘Blood Plethora’ (2020) demo, the ‘Premonition’ demo (2017) and the ’EP MMXVII’ aka ‘Taphos’ EP (2017). You will hear the difference between the material throughout the years, as the most recent output is darker and murkier than the evil and deadly tunes Taphos released in 2017, a more demo sound even. Still, all the material presented on this CD is unmistakeably the Death Metal one can expect from these Danish grave robbers.

A nice compilation for those who missed out on (one of) the aforementioned releases or to complete their Taphos collection. Or if you’re unacquainted with them…
