A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

This is another one from the ‘Hell On…’-series, it is rumoured that this is the last one to be released, so, finally the full tour has been released on 7”es. These songs are recorded in the Dutch city of Deventer on October the 6th on that notorious tour.

The tracklist for this EP is pretty well chosen, with “Power Of Darkness”, “Impale The Soul…”, “Devil Metal”, “The Devil”, “I.N.R.I.” and “Satanic” they took quite some interesting songs from both “Hell’s Unholy Fire” and the infamous “Devil Metal-album. Though the recording quality is not the best heard from Nunslaughter it is better than the average Nunslaughter live ‘assault’. For those who are into old school death metal but haven’t checked this band yet, definitely should. Nunslaughter can easily been seen as the ambassador of old school death metal, the evil way. But, whether this is a good EP to start with is still to be seen, the aforementioned albums are a better way to start your Nunslaughter collection.

The release itself is rather cheap-ass, which is a bit of a disappointment after the great releases that Hell’s Headbangers are putting out every month – trying to make every single 7” EP to be as special as possible. Anyway, to complete your (‘Hell On…’) Nunslaughter collection, this makes a nice addition. For collectors: this EP exists in green and blue transparant vinyls, both available from the labels; Autopsy Kitchen Records and Battle Kommand Records respectively.
