Infernaculum – Esperma De Satanás [Demo / Re-Release]

infernaculum – esperma de satanás [demo / re-release]

Info

The one and only demo of the Spanish Infernaculum, ‘Esperma De Satanás’, was actually already released in the very first month of 2023 in a small quantity of only 25 copies through Morbid Shrine Productions but now sees a second run via Profaner Records. This time in 100 copies, which seems more suitable as the Bestial Black/Death amalgam on this demo is very much worth checking out by a slightly wider audience.

This 7-tracker, totalling just over only 10 minutes, starts off with an electronic/noisy intro and then bursts into a chaotic Black/Death vortex in a nice and overall muffled demo-esque production. But while the music as a whole might is quite chaotic in nature and the overarching sound is dark and oppressive, ‘Esperma De Satanás’ is still clear enough to allow all the individual elements to play their roles.

The wild character of the music might be best characterized as Bestial Black/Death Metal, but with its clear penchant for Thrash riffs and Heavy Metal leads, there’s more to discover. In fact, it reminds of those years in the late 80’s in which Extreme Metal was just Extreme Metal, nothing more or less – as easy as that. Pretty much like many Latin American bands, Infernaculum just blends in bits and pieces from whatever they like and present it in an authentically sounding and amazingly entertaining mould.

A warning for those who are going to give ‘Esperma De Satanás’ a go, the songs are interspersed with harsh noise effect that have almost twice the volume of the actual music. So, in order not to damage your ear drums too much…
