A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Active since 1994 and 4 albums on their conto, but the thing that jumps more in the eye is perhaps their country of origin…Luxemburg. The second smallest land of the European Union and apparently there’s also a metal scene to be found. I know this country very well, cause its located next to Belgium and the cigarettes and whisky are cheaper there haha. Enough with this country, let’s talk about the band…

They call themselves a Death Metal band but one with a lot of melody and that’s no lie at all. The name Amon Amarth is described as an influence and also here they hit the nail with that statement. Instrumentally seen this band has a great rhythm section and they know what they’re doing, and there’s a lot of stuff going on in their sound. I hear some Heavy Metal parts, some Death Metal parts, Viking-esque vocals like Unleashed also is known for and off course the big dose of melody. But they’re able to put it all together in one nice album. Also groove is to be found and then especially in tracks “Revenge” and “Deceiver”.

Yes, this album could please various metal fans but it can also just be a fact that they get absorbed in the pile of melodic Death Metal releases. (Fredde)
