With ‘Total Extinction Of Humanity’, this new Argentine band lays their first feat on the table. And if the band name combined with the black, white and red artwork doesn’t already say enough, the title of this 11-minute sonic onslaught certainly seals your fate. This new outfit’s Bestial Black/Death Metal leaves little left of your eardrums and good taste as a whole.
A little less remains of the effective playing time if you subtract the more than a minute and a half of intro. That rumbling and growling intro leads in to a very raw form of Bestial Black/Death Metal that is actually most reminiscent of a more thundering mix between Archgoat and Revenge. The guitars have a much more bedraggled and raw sound instead of the Finns’ pulverising Death Metal texture. But the whole thing does bear some resemblance to the saturating karate of the slightly older Revenge sound. The bellowing vocals basically seal the deal and complete the picture.
It should come as no surprise that there is certainly no room for finesse and delicacy in this already short EP. Fans of bands such as the aforementioned Revenge and Archgoat, as well as Abysmal Lord, Angelcorpse, Blasphemy, Abominator and Conqueror can indulge in this. At the time of writing, a physical release is not yet planned, but I can hardly imagine it will be long in coming…
