The debut EP of Polish Abominated is born from pure admiration of the Old School Swedish Death Metal recordings of the end 80s and early 90s.
For almost 10 minutes it pummels the listener with a grindin’ and sawin’ assault, evoking thoughts like “this goes back to Nihilist and the demo days of Grave”. Or better yet, take a bit of the grindin’ of Repulsion and mix it with the aforementioned references. And yes, that is the rotten inspiration Abominated has chosen for their creation. And although the guitar sound is not as buzzsaw as it can be, the moment you hear the pick stroke the strings you know it is unmistakably Swedish of that period of time.
Although it is not exactly an “EP of the year”-material, it is a good start of any putrid endeavours Abominated will take on.
