2010, 2012 and 2014. It’s just simple math actually. But here it is, the third album of Finnish Desecresy. I enjoyed “Arches of Entropy” and “The Doom Skeptron”, the two albums prior to this one. Can’t say I have the same positive feeling about “Chasmic Transcendence”. The Doom/Death Metal is still slow and heavy, but the emphasis seems to get more to the “Doom” part. Nothing wrong with that but Desecresy doesn’t evolve towards über-massiveness nor doesn’t excite me with great riffs or song structures. It’s a bit “more of the same” throughout the whole album. I know they can do better, they have proven that with the first two albums. (Ricardo)
