After an eight-year stretch (2009-2017) that saw the release of a demo, full-length, and EP, their second era, beginning in 2019, has brought forth a second full-length and this EP.
According to the promo notes, a transformation has taken place from melodic Death Metal to melodic Black Metal, with the latter also aiming for the ‘Epic’ tag, largely due to the heroic clean vocals. Not entirely unexpectedly, a Bathory cover, ‘Destroyer of Worlds’, is included on this EP.
Musically, it isn’t anything special, but it’s not bad either. The vocals are the main drawback in my opinion, as they could have used more power.
