You won’t find many well-known band members in Phreneticum, unless the name Abigorum rings a bell for you. Anyway, with ‘Der stille Zerfall’, you’re presented with Phreneticum’s debut album.
A debut album of Black Metal with a cold atmosphere and slow, dragging parts. Because the vocals are a bit deeper in the mix, it gives an extra cold layer to the whole thing. You hear Atmospheric Black Metal from the cold side, not the dreamy kind, but you shouldn’t expect anything special either. In that sense, they meet expectations without really standing out.
