A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Ravens Creed come from London, UK and “Ravens’ Krieg” is their third full length album and their first for Dave Rotten’s Xtreme Music. The line-up consists of two x-members of Cerebral Fix: Al Osta (vocals) and Steve Watson (guitars) as well as Rod Boston on bass and the x-Skyclad drummer Jay Graham. Ravens Creed offer thirteen tracks of powerful death metal mixed with d-beat/crust elements. There are slow Asphyx-like tracks like “Victory in Defeat” and there are moshing stompers like “Go Home” which has a certain Celtic Frost vibe in it. Ravens Creed are one of those bands that are better seen live because the power of their music may be felt best on gig. Nothing original really but not a bad release to move your neck to. (Zvetan)
