Info

The German Black Metal scene has experienced renewed activity throughout the years, and Furis Ingis is one of those acts that came out of nowhere with a sole member who has no ties with any other band or project.

Tyrst, the primary individual within Furis Ingis, created some traditional old school Black Metal that brought him back to a time when the year began with ’19’. Aggressive yet diverse Black Metal that shifts from slow and haunting to up-tempo and fierce. You will hear a blend of Mayhem, Burzum, early Darkthrone and Emperor’s ‘Wrath of the Tyrant’-era during most of ‘Decapitate the Aging World’, with a Dungeon/Synth intermezzo (‘Zinnen von Eis’) and a down-tuned Thrashy ‘C.B.M.G.3’ as odd ones. And to conclude the 90’s feeling; the cover artwork has some resemblances to Dimmu Borgir’s ‘For all tid’.

All in all, a decent Black Metal album. While not a necessity, it was a thoroughly enjoyable listen.
