Aelgor hails from Lausanne in Switzerland and is the solo project of Yann Cottier. This month has seen the release of his debut EP entitled ‘Ashes’. No attempt to shock the Black Metal system on show here, just a solid four tracks of hyper-aggressive drumming that speeds this EP along at a vast rate of knots for the most part whilst guitar leads with a sub zero chill factor cajole and mesmerize, as well as brief melodic interludes and catchy flowing guitar rhythms are very much the bleak soupe du jour on offer! A very listenable debut EP from Aelgor!
