A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

The 6th full-length of Runenwacht from Germany, is once again in their native language like all their other releases, which gives the Black Metal presented on “Krieg ernährt Krieg” that typical German approach of the late 90s / early 00s. An own approach of the Second Wave Black Metal movement with a certain (occasional) German folk/pagan melody twist and the aforementioned German lyrics, although those were optional.

Not all was that great back in the days, some of you will probably remember a couple Last Episode releases, but there were some decent ones for sure.

With “Krieg ernährt Krieg” Runenwacht released an acceptable album which beholds variation in any aspect, be it vocals, speed and melody etc., but it doesn’t excel after a couple of spins. (Ricardo)
