Info

In the beginning of 2015 the fifteenth studio album titled ‘Apex Predator – Easy Meat’ was released by Napalm Death on the Century Media label. On the openings track, which is the title track, they took a side jump because this track is an Industrial track where you hear Barney’s (aka Mark Greenway) voice unleash some screams accompanied with some bass tunes . But for the rest, everything is created in the same line they’re used to, thank God. Fans of the first hour will embrace this release with open arms, which I’m sure of. The fastest songs on this album are definitely ‘Stubborn Stains’ and ‘Metaphorically Screw You’ but the first “real” track in my opinion (titled ‘Smash A Single Digit) is the strongest, because it blows you away, especially after that strange intro track hehe. In comparison with their former album titled ‘Utilitarian’ I’ve noticed that the experiments are produced genially in their sound, like for example track ‘Hierarchies’ where a catchy chorus is heard and ditto clean vocals and ‘How the Years Condemn’ which is more mid-paced but where the input of Shane Embury is a bomb! Again Napalm Death has offered the fans an intriguing album with lot’s of aspects to discover. Fans of fast and contrariness guitar play, and lot of blastbeats and d-beats won’t be able to avoid a listen to this one, and the fans, as stated before…get ready for premature ejaculation! (Fredde)
