A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Black/Speed/Thrash from Norway, so the Nifelheim connection isn’t far away usually. And fuckin’ hell, it is as easy as to get nailed in a brothel, the Nifelheim connection is there.

But not only Nifelheim, these wimps- and poserslayers have the attitude, spirit and musical approach of Slayer’s “Show No Mercy” (along with the occasional high scream), Aura Noir, early Bathory, Venom, nowadays Darkthrone and even Carnivore. Most of the time it is indeed Blackened Speedy Thrash Metal, but with a track like “In the Dead of Winter” you even get some Impaled Nazarene’s ultraspeed riffs and drums to impale your ass, to let the song evolve into a slow Darkthrone approach after the metal is off the pedal.

Nothing innovative for one bit at Incinerator’s end , but neither was Bud Spencer and his fists were quite effective as well. (Ricardo)
