Info

As far as I remember, Henry Kane was the name of the possessed priest in the “Poltergeist 2” movie. This Henry Kane though is the name of a project of Jonny Pettersson, who is also active in many other bands like Wombbath and Skineater just to name a few. “Den Forstorda Manniskans Rike” is the debut album of this project and it offers 15 tracks of blasting death/black metal with some crust/punk passages here and there. Jonny Pettersson’s agonizing voice fits perfectly with the dark feeling that emanates from Henry Kane’s music. The production is a bit of a mess and sometimes drums and vocals sound louder than everything else but this is not a big deal since the energy and fury of the music can be easily felt. Some strange melodic patterns pop up here and there like in “Flashan vor din sista van” but as a whole this album is 100% aggression and a promising effort. (Zvetan)
