Polish Frightful release their second full length through Godz Ov War. The band has been active since 2016 it seems and they delve deep into the old school Death/Thrash realm on ‘What Lies Ahead’ with influences ranging from Slayer, Kreator, Dissection, Sepultura and Vader.

The grunts are spewned out with venom, it’s not that the vocals are that extreme but they do fit the music. The guitars are mostly riff based, but the solo’s strongly remind me of Death and Dissection. There’s plenty of vibe and atmosphere on this album culminating in a beautiful combination of melody and brutality.

Bass and Drums are impeccable and add to the ferocity of the music, with note worth/outstanding tracks like ‘Disincarnate Sower’, ‘Cloaked By Nothingness’ and ‘Cathedrals of Creation’.

Add to this a top notch production and you have a winner. Fans of old school riffing with bursts of melodies really have to check out this album!
