A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Et Moriemur (Latin for “And we will die”) is a Doom band hailing from Prague, Czech Republic. Since conception in 2008, the group has produced four releases including the latest “Epigrammata”. Self-described as existentialist Doom, this album gives nods to Black and Death metal accompanied by enchanting atmospheric melodies. If the haunting whispers don’t send shivers down your spine the Gregorian chants will. This album brings a multitude of melancholic instrumental layers creating a depth not usually found in the realm of doom. Variations in vocals, in both English and Latin, offer a dynamic experience, glimpses of agony through screams followed by perverse hymns created by grief-stricken chants. A highly enjoyable, full-bodied auditory journey lumbering through despair often at funeral pace. Keeping in line with the other two full lengths and the EP released by the band, “Epigrammata” is a lonely yet incredible journey facilitated by somber cello, violin, guitar and trombone. (Kaje)
