Info

Another re-release by VIC Records, this time the second album of German Death/Thrash act Assorted Heap called “Mindwaves”. The first album “The Experience of Horror” (also re-released on VIC Records) was received very well and gave them the opportunity to support Atrocity, Pestilence and Paradise Lost live. In 1992 this album, their last one, was released and both the label as the band considered this one as their best effort. Although less heavy and fast as the debut, “Mindwaves” is more technical and beholds more variation. Also it has some beautiful leads, like on “What I confess”. The album is remastered and contains some bonus live tracks at the end, which are from the “Swing of the Axe” tour with Edge of Sanity in 1992. Not long after they decided to quit and a reformation was never been on the table. Never heard of them and you like some technical Death/Thrash of the early 1990s, check out “Mindwaves” of Assorted Heap. (Ricardo)
