A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Nunslaugther and The Lurking Corpses have teamed up to create a split album where each band offers one song to the listeners. Let’s start with the good news…deal? Ok, Nunslaughter it will be then, because the mid tempo, filthy vocals, the cumbersome intro and the slight audible contrariness riffs done the job for this death metal track. The bad news then according to me: The Lurking Corpses. It starts off with women screaming, but then there’s not that much to mention anymore…the heavy vocals and grunts sound reasonable, but the high pitched vocals used for the chorus are killing the mood! The only thing I somehow can appreciate is the riff during the chorus built-up, but there it stops! Nope, this track lacks spirit to convince me! Overall seen, this split can be a nice addition to your collection, but I’m afraid it will gather more dust then happiness hehe. However, the cover artwork is very fine… (Fredde)
