Emerging from the shadow of their cult debut demo, Archaic Blood aligns with Orlege to deliver a split soaked in reverence for lineage and tradition.

Archaic Blood’s timeless sound conjures visions of ancient realms and vanished glories, while Orlege’s proud and distinctly English character drives the march ever forward.

This is a release that demands the attention of those who still cherish the eternal principles of Blood. Forward without hesitation, towards the stars and beyond the earthly veil, we march towards the firmament.

French purists Archaic Blood are known for their devotion to the belligerent and triumphant traditions of the French underground, drawing comparisons to acts such as Kristallnacht, Seigneur Voland, Funeral, Veles and Infernum. On this split there are two new tracks and a Seigneur Voland cover. Musically, their style of tyrannical Black Metal remains untarnished.

Orlege is relatively new to the scene. Their music has a grim martial, mid-paced, heavily rhythmic approach rather than purely atmospheric or orthodox Black Metal. Two tracks in the style of the genre with a well-performed Absurd cover, ‘Mourning Soul’.

The titles point towards an England-centered historical and European identity-focused approach, ‘South Saxon Legion’ and ‘Forefather Europa’, Raw Black Metal that includes both Black Metal and Oi!, hinting at a crossover influence from traditional English skinhead and street-rock rhythms.

‘Marching Towards the Firmament… For Our Noble Blood ‘ will be released by the by Southern Rampart (Cassette), Signal Rex (CD) and Darker Than Black (Vinyl).

Fans of combative old school Black Metal need to check out this release.
