Inbryne is a new Portuguese raw Black Metal project, active since the mid‑2020s. All their known releases come from 2024–2025, mostly through Death Manifestations, a small underground label specializing in raw Black Metal. We’re paying attention to their ‘Heretic Chants & Nocturnal Flesh’ 2025, being the second output after ‘Laments Beneath a Celestial Sky’ (EP).

Inbryne play raw but rather majestic Black Metal, music with a lo‑fi, tape‑saturated production, mid‑tempo tremolo riffs with mournful melodic contours, distant, cavernous vocals, minimal percussion, often repetitive or ritualistic, several atmospheric interludes or droning passages. A general feeling of isolation, similar to early Portuguese raw Black Metal but with a more lunar, introspective tone. There are musical hints to the old Scandinavian scene as well.

Closest aesthetic relatives (in my opinion) are Nidernes, Irae, Candelabrum, Moonblood, Vetala (for their ritualistic minimalism), Black Cilice (for atmosphere), Inthyflesh (for occult austerity), Dolentia (for melancholic Portuguese Black Metal) although many other names will pop up.

The tracks themselves are long, between 8 to 10 minutes and carry an epic, hypnotic and majestic undertone, mostly fast-paced but containing the necessary interludes.

Musical themes include occultism/nocturnal solitude, satanism, nihilism, ascension. The songs are quite well-constructed and never get boring or too repetitive in nature.

Inbryne breathes a humid, delirious gloom, as if the earth itself were whispering its last, shivering confessions beneath collapsed stone. The music coils like ashen lamentations, writhing through desolate corridors where longing festers into something feral and unrecognizable.

What rises from these shadows is raw and unholy, a secret pulse of impurity moving with clandestine purpose, a force that devours, guards, and consecrates the forbidden truths that only the night dares to remember.

People that are aroused by Inbryne need to check out their music on the appropriate media channels. They won’t be disappointed.
