I tend to not care about who is in band A or B, simply because I was never one to follow, blindly, musicians merely because I have a special connection to a release, a project, a moment of creation; exception are exactly that, exceptions, and Carlos Andrés, AKA Lord Valtgryftåke, is one of those exceptions. Whatever the man touches, the man turns to gold. Ridiculous. To assist in the creative process, he decided to call out to Giuseppe Emanuele Frisone, of acts like Thecodontion, for example. So… expect good stuff.
Musically speaking, and please correct me if I am wrong, Shtrigë sounds quite straightforward Black Metal with a very little, and subtle, Punkish approach. It sounds more immediate than their projects, perhaps? In a way, the analysis is a lot easier to structure: Black Metal with a harsher sound, an energetic performance, and let’s go! It might sound diminishing, at worse, but it is a quite simple structure. And there is no problem with that, of course.
In conclusion: a dirty and menacing demo from 2 musicians that have nothing to prove, that decided to go full steam ahead! Beware.
