A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

When it comes to Swedish Death Metal, there are also a lot of bands that have been working hard for years but are never mentioned in conversation, reviews, or references. And despite Gluttony having been featured several times in this zine, I would confidently say that they are one of those kinds of bands. Nothing against the quality, but some bands are simply are just in that corner.

With ‘Drogulus’, Gluttony has certainly not managed to break out of that cornereven though there’s nothing wrong with the album. The roaring sound, the groovy riffs, tempo changes, and the other standard ingredients are fully present, but it lacks that final push towards online buzz. On the other hand, lovers of Swedish putridness who don’t let themselves be swayed by that flavour-of-the-day nonsense know how to find and appreciate it.
