A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Bloody hell! What a debut!

Of course, we know that three members were already in At the gates, one in Seance, and the singer in Mary Beats Jane, so they’ve been around for a while. For people who think the new Slayer is rubbish, you should just buy this album blindly. It’s brilliant, tight up-tempo Thrash Metal that turns my messy room into a chaotic whirlwind. I think fans of old Thrash Metal, like early Testament, Slayer, and Metallica, as well as fans of the newer style like Machine Head and Pantera, will really enjoy this. You could describe the singer as a mix of Tom Araya, Franky from Channel zero, Phil Anselmo, and John Bush (have a listen to ‘In vain’, and ‘Now you know’).

It’s perfect for playing at high volume in the car while driving around in this crazy weather.
