Lord Valtgryftåke is a person with a packed schedule, considering his many bands and releases. If his name doesn’t immediately ring a bell…perhaps you have Gryftigæn, Mánþiel or 13th Temple in your collection.
Either way, he primarily operates within raw Black Metal circles where atmosphere is a vital element. With Ründgard he follows a similar path, where the heydays of the Norwegian and Polish scenes meet through raw riffs and an underlying layer of synths.
An excellent album, featuring the track ‘Spirits from the Medieval Storms’ as the absolute highlight.
