This unexpected release from veteran Meyhna’ch and his cult band Mutiilation, which, in my opinion, it felt like a necessary album to close out the year 2025.
While this story begins in 2024 with ‘Black Metal Cult’, ‘Pandemonium of Egregores’ continues the introspective narrative, offering his version of his pessimistic vision of the cult he helped forge. Musically, it’s everything you’d expect structurally and compositionally from a work worthy of the band, and it truly feels like a necessary album and a breath of fresh air amidst so many modern clichés. Technically, it presents great execution and high quality sound, which differs from their most iconic works but ironically reaffirms the primary intention of this album and imbues it with an almost tragic honesty.
In my opinion, the song ‘Fifty Winters’ eloquently encapsulates the message of this great and unexpected return.
